If there is one place in the world where people are always looking for healthy restaurants, it’s Canggu. Life here is all about being active, living a wellness-oriented lifestyle, playing padel, going to expensive gyms, trying reformer pilates or spinning classes and treating your body well.
All of that goes hand-in-hand with healthy food, which can be found all around Canggu.
Most tourists and people who are new to Bali love the incredible selection of food from all around the world and, of course, the Indonesian cuisine which is unfortunately not always healthy. However, there is a clear shift after a few months when most people start looking for options that are actually good for you, including fresh salads, smoothie bowls, keto, paleo, vegan or gluten-free restaurants and all sorts of healthy foods for a health-conscious lifestyle.

Why you can trust this list of the healthy restaurants in Canggu
Hi, I’m Victoria, and I’m your go-to source for Bali and Indonesia travel information.
I’ve lived on this beautiful island for several years now and visited plenty of times before that, both as a tourist and backpacker. I know how to save money and when to splurge on things, so I’ll introduce you to the best luxury getaways for a special occasion but also the cheapest airport pickups and fun group tours you can join if you want to make friends.
It’s very easy to eat incredible but unhealthy food every day in Canggu, but after several years of being here, I shifted my focus on more healthy options, at least during the week. I still love trying new pizza, burger, Italian or ice cream places around Canggu, but healthy restaurants are what I keep an eye out for in my daily life in Bali.
I’ve been to every single restaurant in this post myself and am adding new ones constantly.
I’m driving around Canggu every single day, so I’ll be the first to know if a new healthy spot opens or another one closes, doing my best to keep thi list as up-to-date as posible.

The best healthy restaurants in Canggu at a glance
No time to scroll? Here are the best healthy restaurants in and around Canggu at a glance.
Best healthy restaurants in Canggu
Treat your body like the temple it is with these healthy restaurant options that serve nutritious and delicious food.
1. LowCal Cheatery & Bar
LowCal Cheatery is one of the largest and most well-known healthy restaurants in Bali, and it’s located right on Batu Bolong. Despite their name being Cheatery, it’s almost impossible to cheat on your diet here with their calorie-counted, keto or paleo dishes that are made using only the best ingredients.
They also include all the macros on the menu, which is very convenient.
I like LowCal, because they manage to balance healthy with tasty, which is sometimes a struggle when it comes to health-concious restaurants. This is a great spot for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends and they even have live acoustic music every single night after 7 PM.
I love their low-calorie cocktails, or you can also order regular wine and beers if you want to treat yourself.
They let you build your own breakfast or salad bowl and always have a specials menu, which is highly recommended. Make sure to pre-book a table if you’re going for dinner; this place is very popular.
Address: Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong No.94, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80351, Indonesia

2. Tierra Healthy Bar
Tierra Healthy Bar is a very small restaurant tucked away on a quieter street in central Canggu. It hasn’t been around for a very long time, but quickly gained popularity, and is one of my favourite spots ot recommend if you want to eat clean.
I love Tierra because they’re very affordable compared to other health-conscious restaurants in Canggu. Eating nutritious food should be accessible to anyone, and the prices at Tierra are at least reasonable, unlike many of the other places on this list. They even have a buy-one-get-one deal on Sundays.
Another reason why Tierra Healthy Bar stands out to me is because they serve a lot of Indonesian food in a slightly healthier way. Almost all of the other restaurants in this article serve Western food, and I love to have the opportunity to enjoy Indonesian classics more often without sacrificing my health.
If you haven’t been here yet, I couldn’t recommend it more.
Address: Jl. Tanah Barak No.31, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80351, Indonesia
Price: $
Favourite dish: Cherry tomato pasta

The Best Way To Experience Bali
Group tours are an incredibly underrated way to travel and you’ll get to experience Bali with new friends without any of the stress of planning. Compare the best tours here or check out my all-time favourite below.
3. Gustav Grün
Gustav Grün is a German chain of healthy vegetarian and vegan restaurants, which opened their first location in Indonesia right on Batu Bolong Street in Canggu. I always get their build-your-own bowls and wraps, which are pretty affordable and absolutely delicious. In my opinion, they have the best hummus in Canggu and it’s easy to customise your own healthy dish here.
I’m from Germany and have eaten at Gustav Grün quite a lot in Germany, so I love that one of my favourite vegetarian places from home is now in Bali. It’s my number one go-to for an effortless, healthy lunch in Canggu.
Their salad bar is kind of like Subway, but much better quality and even more delicious. They also have a DIY all-day breakfast menu, which you need to try. The portions are absolutely huge, and since most people seem to be ordering on grab or gojek, it’s easy to grab a table at Gustav Grün.
Address: Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong No.32, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80351, Indonesia
Price: $$
Favourite dish:
Open for: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

4. Green Guru Smoothie Bowl Bar
Green Guru is a tiny smoothie bowl place located close to Echo beach, not far from La Brisa, one of the best beach clubs in Canggu. Just keep in mind that you won’t be able to get a grab or gojek down there and will have to walk up the street.
They specialise in smoothie bowls of course, but also sell a variety of healthy snacks and products such as energy balls, nut butters, granola, plant-based milks, kimchi and more.
I love to come here for a smoothie bowl after my morning beach walk and, in my opinion, the bowls here are some of the best in Canggu.
Address: Gg. Surf, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80351, Indonesia
Price: $$
Favourite dish: Zoro bowl
Open for: Breakfast, lunch and early dinner

5. Superfood Canggu
Superfood has it all: it’s located close to the beach, it has a DIY salad bar, it caters to all health-conscious diets, and the food is absolutely delicious. They cater to raw vegan, paleo, keto, vegetarian and many more diets. I always do the make-your-own-juice deal, which I haven’t found anywhere else in Canggu.
They do a great job at catering to vegetarians and vegans, which I appreciate, and the food here is always delicious.
The cafe is also very pretty and instagramable, so a great place to go with friends.
Address: Jl. Nelayan No.33, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia
Price: $$
Favourite dish: Wild Asian mushrooms
Open for: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

6. Motion Cafe
Motion Cafe is a popular breakfast spot that specialises in healthy food and nutritious dishes. People in Canggu love to work out and eat healthily, so this place is always busy and they now have two venues, one in Canggu and one in Pererenan.
They’ve got an impressive selection of pastries, protein shakes, breads and bowls, all with nutrients and macros in mind. They have paleo, gluten-free and vegan options, so no one is missing out here.
It’s hard to find actual healthy restaurant food in Bali, and if staying fit and energised is your priority right now, you’ll love this place.
The Motion cafe on Batu Bolong is always pretty busy, so keep in mind that you might have to wait to get a table, especially around lunch time.
Address: in Canggu Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong No.69B, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80351 and in Pererenan Jl. Raya Tiyingtutul No.8, Pererenan, Kec. Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80351

Favourite dish: Bircher Muesli
Open for: breakfast, lunch and dinner

The Best Private Drivers In Bali
The most comfortable way to get around Bali is with a private driver. Read our complete guide or book instantly at the lowest prices with no need to haggle.
7. Cafe Vida Organic
Cafe Vida specialises in healthy, organic food, including gluten-free and vegan options. This is perfect if you’ve been looking for the full-on, holistic, biohacking, superfood, Bali experience.
They only use ingredients from their own organic farm in Bedugul, so you can be sure the food is not only delicious but also good for you. Their grains are non-GMO, everything is halal, and they have a completely separate gluten-free kitchen, so Cafe Vida is celiac-friendly. Plus, they do not use packaged foods, msg or microwaves in their restaurant.
Cafe Vida Organic definitely takes healthy to another level, maybe slightly less scientific, but very Bali.
I love their shakshuka and sweet potato brioche french toast and their tea infusions.
Address: Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong No.38A, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80351, Indonesia
Price: $$$
Favourite dish: Shakshuka
Open for: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

8. Dispensary by Body Factory
Dispensary is a small healthy restaurant attached to the popular Body Factory gym, but it’s open to the public and not only members. I ate here a few times back in 2022 and found it to be a bit hit-or-miss, but it’s improved quite a bit since then.
They increased their portion sizes and the general food quality is very good now. I also like that you can choose between their regular menu, or you can opt to build your own plate, which makes it extremely customisable. They have a lot of salad bowl, grilled meats, and smoothies, with vegan options available.
Dispensary tells you the calories and macros of their dishes, so if you’re tracking your food, this is perfect. I personally think they might be a bit conservative with the calorie estimates, so maybe add 15% to 20% on top just to be safe.
The restaurant is pretty small, but you can usually find a seat since many people order on grab or gojek instead of coming in.
Address: Jl. Nelayan No.24, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia
Price: $$$
Favourite dish: Build-your-own bowl
Open for: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

9. Oasis Salad Bar
Oasis Salad Bar is a newer restaurant in Canggu, located in a long row of shops just off Batu Bolong Street. I used to work only 100 metres up the road, so we went to grab lunch here multiple times per week.
I usually get their build-your-own salad deal, which is pretty affordable if you get the small or medium bowl. The regular menu is a bit pricier but still reasonable. They also have protein shakes, so it’s a great stop before you go to the gym.
You can see the calories and macros for each dish, so Oasis makes for the perfect healthy food spot in Canggu.
Address: Jl. Raya Kayutulang, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80351, Indonesia
Price: $$
Favourite dish: Build your own salad
Open for: breakfast, lunch and dinner

Best eSIM & Physical SIM For Bali
Did you know you can get the best SIM card for tourists delivered to your hotel in Bali at no extra charge? Or get an eSIM, so you’ll be connected from day one.
10. The Cure Health Kitchen
The Cure perfectly combines healthy food with a vegan influence, satisfying all those cravings you’ve been having. This is one of the few vegan restaurants in Canggu that offers Beyond Meat, which I really enjoy.
Their burgers are definitely a favourite for me, and you can never go wrong with them. You can also order juice cleanse packages here if that’s something you’re interested in.
Come to The Cure for plant-based dishes, including gluten-free, keto and sugar-free options. They do a pretty good job at making healthy food delicious, and I would recommend coming here to everyone, not just vegans.
Address: Jl. Pantai Berawa No.40, Tibubeneng, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia
Price: $$
Favourite dish: Burger
Open for: breakfast, lunch and dinner

11. Healthy Ubud
As the name suggests, Healthy Ubud originally opened in Ubud, but they also have a venue in Canggu. They’re known for their healthy bowls and fresh juice selection, so definitely come here for a health boost.
They have their own organic farm, so you know that the ingredients are the best. Prices are pretty reasonable, and we usually come here for a quick lunch. Their vegan sushi is highly recommended and some of the best I’ve found in Canggu.
The restaurant itself is pretty small with only a handful of tables, so it might be smart to order via grab or gofood, or expect to wait a little bit to get a spot to sit. It’s very close to the road, so not the nicest ambiance.
Address: Jl. Canggu Padang Linjong No.40a, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia
Price: $$
Favourite dish: Sushi
Open for: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

12. Alkaline Vegan Restaurant
Alkaline, located just minutes from Nelayan Beach in Canggu, is all about eating healthy, sourcing local ingredients, and being eco-friendly. They use alkaline water to prepare their food and grow their own vegetables onsite. All other produce comes from less than 50 kilometres away.
In addition to serving vegan food, they also try to eliminate sugar and gluten, and many dishes are even raw vegan.
If eating healthy and clean is your priority, you will love Alkaline. You can also shop for natural health supplements here if that is something you want to try.
Personally, some of the food is a tiny bit too healthy for me, and some of the dishes are a bit hit or miss. But that is different for everyone, so make up your own mind.
I would definitely recommend the smoothie bowls and juices here; they are incredible.
Plus, you can stay at the
Address: Serenity Eco Guesthouse and Yoga, Jl. Nelayan No.Banjar, Canggu, Kuta Utara, Badung Regency, Bali 80361, Indonesia

Favourite dish: Smoothie bowls
Open for: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

2 thoughts on “12 Best Healthy Restaurants In Canggu”
Good morning,
I love to read your news in Bali. I live here and reading 1 pages the latest news is all I need and to see helpful tips comes in handy.
I have a question please? It seems from many surveys you have done that Safefywings insurance comes out tops? right?
I was looking at Genki as I am already here and have left my home of citizenship. I am a poor reader when it comes to reading all the red tape.
Hi!
Thanks so much for reading the blog and our newsletter. It means a lot!
I always recommend SafetyWing, because I find it the most user-friendly and reliable while not being too expensive. But, I’ve heard good things of Genki and I know their prices are also very affordable. But I haven’t tried them myself, so I can’t really give you an honest review of them. I know it’s not easy to find insurance if you gave up your home residency, and Genki seems like a company which a lot of people like, so I would give them a try if SafetyWing isn’t the right fit for you.
Hope that helps!
